Imagine. Just one flight could save a remote community from disease or hunger.
Wings Like Eagles has its base in Mozambique and our potential catchment area for relief flights extends to Malawi, Tanzania and Zambia. These countries all have very low per capita incomes and are frequently affected by natural disasters.
This is also a remote area of the world, which means that when disaster relief is needed it can take weeks for large-scale supplies to arrive in rural villages by road or air drop.
Therefore our niche as a charity is that by using a locally-based helicopter (and, where possible, by managing other helicopters owned by our strategic partners in the region), we can provide the earliest response to emergencies and save lives. Please help us make that flight.
It’s a smart investment
Our emergency response sometimes involves flying small-scale medical supplies to lonely villages. Importantly, we can also fly in experts from the world’s major charities and relief organisations so they can have a helicopter view of the problem area. This enables them to quickly formulate relief plans, ensuring that large-scale aid is applied where it really counts.
So any donation you make to Wings is a smart investment in efficient humanitarian relief for South East Africa. The doctor on just one flight can prevent an outbreak of measles or typhus for a whole community, or ensure that millions of dollars in aid supplies are sent to the right place.
